The Westchester Open Studios is an informal event organized by a team of volunteers. The owners of the show houses have graciously volunteered the use of their houses for this event. No compensation is paid to any of the volunteer sponsors or the homeowners for their efforts to organize the event or the use of their home in connection with the Westchester Open Studios. Visitor participation in the Westchester Open Studios is expressly conditioned upon the visitor’s acknowledgment that the volunteer sponsors and homeowners cannot and will not be held responsible or liable for any loss, damage or theft of personal possessions or for any injury sustained during the Westchester Open Studios. The risk of injury or damage from the activities involved in the Westchester Open Studios is remote but possible; and each visitor KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUMES ALL SUCH RISKS, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE ACTS OR OMISSIONS OF theWestchester Open Studios volunteer sponsors and/or homeowners or others, and by visiting the show house(s), each visitor accepts full responsibility for such visitor’s participation.
Each Artist participating in the Westchester Open studios will agree to contribute 5% (five percent) of the profits such Artist makes from participating in the Westchester Open Studios to FASNY (the French American School of New York) and The Boys and Girls Club of Northern Westchester.
